iF I HAVE APPLICATIONS SUCH AS PLC, SAFETY CONTROLLER , RFID etc Can i use contactor/RELAY of utilization category DC-1?

What do you think the nature of your load is ? Resistive, inductive, capacitive....what?

KVS! I think PLC, etc. falls under Utilisation category DC-12 (Control of Solid State Loads with Isolation by Opto-couplers) vide Clause 4.4 (Table-1) of IEC 60947-Part 5 - Section 1.

Thanks, but my intention was to make the OP do his own work. Even if one doesn't have a $1000 IEC standard with one, every contactor catalog gives the IEC Utilisation Category table. All one has to do is download and read.

Specific to your view, perhaps yes, DC12 may be the right one. i designed and tested everything in DC to DC13 anyway, why quibble ? Not much benefit in cost.
