Translated...

"Hello,

I'm being paid to design something that I am unqualified to do, but I beat out qualified experienced engineers in other countries by being cheaper than them to do it. Now I have to perform on my contract, so I need you pathetic losers to show me for free how to accomplish this."

Why did you mark yourself off topic? I think you've hit the nail squarely on the head.

Decades ago, in graduate school, I was assigned to devise a way to stabilize the image of the sun on a sun-pumped laser. The "given" was an expensive telescope mirror system with one of the mirrors steered by electronics. There were high and low frequency components to the satellite motion. I got a A+ for throwing away the beryllium telescope and using a large plastic fresnel lens steered by small fluid cells on the support struts. When the image of the sun got off center, it would heat one of the cells which would then exert pressure to move the lens. That took care of the low frequency motion. The high frequency jitter was taken care of by making the image of the sun much larger than the end of the laser rod, so the rod remained illuminated even as the satellite vibrated. Yes, most of the captured sunlight was wasted, reflected back into space, but, WTF, sunlight is really cheap in space. Do you really need a stepper motor, etc. to get 15 deg./hr?
