AXENS (IN 043 & IN 042.0)

AXENS (IN 042 & IN043.0)

I just want to share a problem in our factory.
We got the order to Heat Exchanger for refinery project. Which it require that material to the Tubesheet must follow the rules AXENS for Wet H2S & Low Temperature services especially accordance with AXENS IN-043 and AXENS IN-042.0.
However, we still consider to follow these rules, the problem is the cost for the testing.

So, we are waiting for input from members of the mailing list about how important it is to follow the rules?

In a sense, the risk if it does not follow these rules, then is there another solution?

Thanks a lot for any input and for you advice.

Best regards,

Nur Kolip

"how important it is to follow the rules?"

How important is your reputation?

Do your suppliers not need to "follow the rules" now, either?

How will your customer react to "how important it is to follow the rules?"

Thank for your feedback, Mr/Ms Lyn.
This is very important to our reputasion.
our just read in data sheet for Heat Exchanger which describe in it to use LTCS especially for Tubesheet & Girth flange and i don't question to client yet.
May be your advice for this case is if we are not follow that standard, then what is risk happened especially in our design?

Dear KOLIP, tests conducted as per standards are to mitigate the possible risks. If standard prescribe a test and you do not conduct it, then it is as good as the product is not as per standard. The possibility of wrong materials or faulty workmanship can not be ruled out 100%, so the tests ensure that the product is fit for intended application.
