Effect of Pressure Change On Gas Analyzers

02/04/2012 4:48 AM

Hello everyone,

I'd like to know the effect of pressure change on gas concentration reading specially O2 (Zirconia) reading, while in TCD measurement we don't need to measure pressure os sample.

Some gas analyzers have serious deviations when the pressure isn't stable.

When this happens, a gas analyzer takes in more sample and shows that with the results, whatever it is based on columns with retention times or flame analyzers.

Gas analyzers also need calibration. Have some sample gas bottles with known concentrations ready. D.

It settles with m/V=P/RT, reading usually in some gas analyzer is at standard Pressure and Temperature but some analyzers has Temperature and Pressure sensors used to correct readings automatically.

To make you really understand, you could read TESTO 350 Manual.
