Can You Tell the Difference in TV Signals

02/19/2012 8:51 AM

Helo everyone

Hope you all would be enjoying various programs in TV. However, we feel irritated sometimes when an advt is run inbetween. Some times these Advts steal 10 to 15 %of ourviewing time. I am looking for an idea whereby I can sense this advt signal by using any of its different characteristics from that of the regular program and automatically switch overto alternate channel. Can anyone please tell me how do i differentiate between a signal recieved in my TV set for a normal program and that of an advertisement.

Why would switching to an alternate channel be any less distracting than an advertisement?

What if there happens to be an advertisement on the alternate channel.......would it keep on switching channels?

Would it bring us back to the original channel once the advertisements were over?

The way I do it, is just not to watch TV...................it's free.

There are many ways to do this, but here is a thought; The crud at interval subsidises (if not pays) for the TV show. If we all do this, program makers will need to find funding. Welcome to subscription TV. A remote control works for me, though inevitably I click over to more ads .

There are many systems to do what you want, but it's probably country specific. 6-9 minutes in the hour isn't too bad to put up with. Besides, some adverts are pretty good.

It's pretty hard to figure, but I spend so much time trying to see what's on each channel that I miss most of it anyway !

The infamous Replay case was settled when the inventor/company went bankrupt trying to fight The Man.
