Plumbness

03/09/2012 2:01 AM

hello

thanks for everything

i'm confused about the API650 plumbness tolerance

it says that plumbness must be 1/200 total tank hight but....

it means 1/200 must divide on two side of tank shell =1/400 each side or if it happens one side of tank shell it is ok?

Overthink alert!!!! <AROOOGAH AROOOGAH>
it means 1/200 must divide on two side of tank shell ...
EH? Why?
There is no logic in your statement.
If you have an octagonal tank do you suppose you divide the tolerande by 8???
To expand your perverse logic still further, a circular section tank has an infinite number of sides and if you divide the tolerance by infinity it becomes zero.

Reductio ad absurdum QED.

Just measure each side one at a time. Is it in tolerance yes or no?
