Motorized Valve Selection in AHU

Measure pressure of cooling water at the inlet and at the outlet and subtract. That will give you the pressure drop across the cooling coil.

Yes , I got the pressure drop - the AHU supplier has provided me the designed value. It is 12.93kpa. Then I used this value to find out the total pressure drop in the line. Adding the drops at 'Tee','Gate Valve', 'Y- strainer', 'reducer', etc in the line by taking into account the equivalent pipe length as per the "carrier table 10 & 11". This calculation is given to the supplier of 2way motorised valve, which controls the chilled water flow to the coil inside the AHU. But when this valve supplier tried to put the value in the valve selection software , it shows error. The software is not able to select a valve size for the calculated value of pressure drop.

There is a chance that the method of calculation of pressure drop can be wrong.

Can anybody help me to correct the error.

Yes , I tried with supplier , AHU supplier has given the pressure drop in coil . Then I calculated the total with equivalent length (m) for all "tee", valve ,etc . Then I put all values in "Pressure Drop Online-Calculator" of www.pressure-drop.com . Then I got the result .
