S/S Military Specs

03/23/2012 9:07 AM

I have been sent on a mission to recover a Military Standard titled MIL-S-8484 SEALS, AND SEAL TESTING PROCEDURE (FOR ELECTRONIC INCLOSURES). I cannot find a copy anywhere? I found one site that has the mil spec cancelled/revised. Does anyone have any info on this spec it would be greatly appreciated!!

Try contacting Hoffman, B-Line or Appleton.

All three sell to the military and should have the spec you are looking for.

According to this government site, which may be the one you found, 8484 is canceled/retired. Apparently, you can't access canceled specs.

You can search on that site, this one sounds like it may replace it:

MIL-STD-108E(1) NOT 2

Active ENVRDEFINITIONS OF AND BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ENCLOSURES FOR ELECTRIC AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

But as for 8484, you may have to find it in a library.

This site says contact for quote.

Maybe this one?
