Probably too many hours working, with too little sleep.

(And stop SHOUTing!)

Too much...

Voltage, current, useage (duty cycle), heat, moisture, dust, particles between the pole faces of the armature, bugs nesting in same...

Too little...

Voltage, current, routine maintenance such as blowing out the dust, bugs, moisture etc. from the above...

Bad...

Design, installation, wiring, environment, luck...

Check the coil for the required voltage. The instructions on the box cover will show how to connect the different voltage coils.

Check whether the contactor rating is selected for continous (i.e as per type-2 coordination) operation.

This will be the major cause for contactor failure. And obviously the failure will be due to over heating of coil during continous operation.

the reason of burning the contactor coil is, maybe the person who install is not qualified electrician he did not check if the contactor voltage is 24dcv or maybe the voltage on the contactor is 240acv he connect to 120acv !!!!! warning before connecting your machine or any electrical parst with a coil first check the voltage and second call the qualified electrician !!!!
