Disadvantage, as compared to what?

Every system has its merits and de-marits. You might have have been told only de-marits of Centrifugal Separartion system by the competitor system manufacturer. But facts remain fact. The other system of lube oil reconditioning do have some demerits and some merit.

Centrifugal system is very fast in separation of condensate how ever alternate system is not so fast.

In centrifugal system there is no filter or elctroststic separator, however other system has electrostatic seprator which needs replacement time to time.

Cntrifugal system is very good for huge quantity of oil to be re-conditioned but not good for small consoles. Other oil reconditioning system are good for small consoles.
