I am looking at replacing our Spa 12kW electric steam generator into Natural Gas fueled one. Do we have member here using NG fueled steam generator, or knows manufacturer/suppliers? please send me a link.

Why at all you want to replace it with Natural Gas fueled one? If it is 12 MW, it makes sense. For just 12 kW, it will be waste of money and effort in addition to further safety precautions required.

GA! Burning gas into a close space where people are snoozing ... Sounds dangerous.
If you absolutely want to use gas, heat up rocks outside the room and dump them in the water bucket like it used to be done. The ancestors new better than bringing the fire in the room.

Hi Marcot,
Burning gas into a close space where people are snoozing ... Sounds dangerous.
Seems you are in the city, but are not using LPG stove, driving a car where also burning gas process etc. sounds dangerous ..... hmmm seems those engineers and or even scientest who invented these things put us into danger is that what you are trying to say? until now you have had a good belief on your ancestors old style , maybe one of your ancestor is the one who invented that Spa NG fueled steam generator that I am looking send me the contact details please.

Roman,
You need to chill out!
You asked a question, we gave you a genuine opinion about the dangers involved.
If you don't like it, don't take it. You don't need to insult anybody.
As a side note, it is illegal to have everybody sleep in a car with a running engine. One person must be awake at all time (especially when driving)...
As for relying on the staff to make sure that the air vents are clean and that the conbustion is good and the CO2 level is acceptable etc... You are taking a big risk. Similarly skilled resort staff are known to overdose swimming pools with chlorine they regularly burn themselves. Do you trust a student on his summer job to do everything necessary to insure that the burner is in perfect operating condition? Even boilers maintained by professionals explode once in a while.
If I were you, I would place the combustion chamber outside and send the steam inside with an insulated pipe.
Good luck!

Marcot,
You are 100% correct on that! as the design should or must be! the steam generator sited outside and only pipe in to the room for the steam supply. as we both have good understanding on Safety installation being an engineer with wide experience. again my only question is. Do we have member here using NG fueled steam generator, or knows manufacturer/suppliers? please send me a link. That's all I need to know so far.

Hi pritam,
Your are making judgement very quickly, just to give you little background why I want this.... we are sited in the island resort and we are not supplied with grid power, we are getting our power from our provider using their Naturals Gas generator and we are being billed @ $0.319 cent per killowatt hour. They are supplying us with NG in the kitchen and having flat rate of $ 330.00 monthly ragardless of usage. 5 years ago or before I came here the resort monthly average bill was $99,000. after converting most off kitchen equipment from electric operated to NG fuled, including staff accomodations, guest rooms and other facilities individual hot water into NG fueled units, guess what or how much my average monthly bill on electric consumptions??? Mr. pritam ... only $39,000 for almost 5 years now... if my calculation is correct I saved 61% out of the company energy utilities. "NOW...DID IT MAKE SENSE TO YOU?" Can you considered it will be a waste of money and effort? further safety precaution requirements should be covered by proper training to staff involve besides from units come out from the market passing to all safety regulation on my beleived.... why can't we give first a positive answer to the post if we have the answer rather than creating another question which seems to me a negative critism. My simple question mr.pritam is that" Do we have member here using NG fueled steam generator, or knows manufacturer/suppliers? please send me a link". that was it is.

Don't pay any attention to them, I have installed natural gas appliances for over 30 years, they are clean, efficient, safe, long lasting, and competitively priced....

Hi SolarEagle,
Many thanks to both, your link and your positive advise, I have had found the unit that I need and I am now on the process of purchasing it. I am also thingking now of upgrading my Laundry ironing system to NG steam system currently they are using manual ironing board and electric ironing roller machine, aiming to reduce manpower and electric utility cost. One of my big tumbler dyer was now in NG fueled and use my electric as emergency spare.

Hi Roman, I was not knowing the background before making that comment. after you explained, it really makes sense. I have seen a very simple steam generator. it used a kitchen gas stove and a big pressure cooker. Dead weight of the cooker safety valve is removed and a hose is connected to it leading to steam chamber without any valve. Control in rate of steam generation is only by gas regulator. You can try, it's extremely simple without any significant investment.
