No Power Samsung S-8003

04/17/2012 7:56 AM

Hi to all, I have a samsung s-8003 touch screen.I brought to the service center of the samsung and they told me that the board of my samsung could not be repair as the battery connector once to be tester using the analog voltmeter is grounded. The pointer of the tester will deflect in any value and likewise once they change the two test probe will deflect the same through.

I am having a bit of an issue with your English...but it sounds like you are seeing power out of your battery, but the service center technicians are telling you that the connector to the screen is not getting the proper voltage (grounded).

What is your real problem? If some component on the main board is shorted through, then the Samsung technicians are probably correct in telling you that you just need a new main board. Devices such as these are not normally repaired nor repairable.

The surface-mount components are quite tricky to replace and just locating the faulty components is not something that can be done with a simple volt/ohmmeter.

With the information posted, I would agree that this issue is not repairable. I did some searching around for a S-8003 motherboard, or motherboard components such as the battery connector and I cannot find any available online.

I would contact the people who sold you this phone, and see if you can get it exchanged or get your money back.

If for some reason you absolutely have to have this particular phone repaired, you could always try to find the same model, perhaps one with a broken screen, and replace the motherboard with the working one.

You need another interpreter....but it sounds like you used a continuity tester on the phone and shorted something out on the board....just get a new phone....if you've had it long enough for something to happen to it, you probably need a new one anyway....
