The Smithsonian a History of Discovery

Was sent this a bit ago. Discovery's last flight as it lands at Dulles. On it's way to the Smithsonian.

Wow, what a ride, indeed!

I still sometimes drive by the facility where I worked on some of the shuttle (and other) systems years ago. I remember "the good old days" and all the fun I had "growing up" there.

It's the end of an era, when the USA could claim superiority in space.
