	About a month ago I posted that E.O. Wilson was one of the recipients of this year's TED awards and he articulated a "wish" for funding for his Encyclopedia of Life. Well his wish has been granted with over $50 million in funding. From boingboing: E. O. Wilson's Encyclopedia of Life gets over $50M in funding The project sounds pretty cool.

	I like the idea; but 50 million is a pittance. A nice looking database may be created that will fascinate scientist and naturalist; scientists listening to scientists. But will it halt the Human Juggernaut?
