Did you contemplate usage of VFD?

not yet but planning for vfd installation, confusing questions are

1.whether any changes done to machines on vfd istallation

2.vfd installation in ac induction motor or servo motor drive in both which is economic

i need a clear detail by that i can explain our management and initiate the process

if you have any pdf regarding energy conservation of injection molding machine upload it will be helpful for me for further actions

thank u

Increase production efficiency (number of parts pressed at a time) and decrease wastage (number of repeat pressings due to quality errors).

The more good parts you get out, the lower the overall energy usage per part.

Application of VFDs to Injection Moulding Machines (IMMs) is a HUGE business, the energy savings generally pay for the upgrade in under a year. There are many companies who specialize in just this application, some of them have very good websites that explain the basic principals of how and why they save money. It's also a favorite subject for thesis papers at Universities, many of which get published on the web.

Try this.

Solid State Soft Starters with a Nola Energy Saver feature can have a minor benefit. Not as good as a VFD, but it has been proven in some IMM applications, especially those with long idle times. But just like a VFD, they must be used in ventilated enclosures to function, you cannot use a bypass contactor.

So you have 3 methods: VFDs, Soft Starters, and the patented TonyS Energy Saver Switch depicted above...
