Here is a a great video with proof of concept as well as great soundtrack (Weapon of Choice) and fun filmaking.

Engineering question, wouldn't we expect the fans to fail prematurely due to the increased resistance of moving oil rather than air?

Ok this was a trial project but metal cases are not just to look Naff but to prevent the electromagnetic hash from scrambling other near by electronics brains and to prevent any emergency service or othe vital user of radios from being blanked out.

Very strick regulations govern these things for very good reasons.
