Square D Altivar 28 Invertor Drive

05/09/2012 10:31 AM

Drive runs for a few seconds, stops and displays 'OFH'. No list of fault messages in any manuals I can find. Any ideas?

Took me all of 30 seconds to find and download a manual, in which it says that code means the inverter temperature is too high. So if it had a fan, the fan likely died, or if not, the heat sink is probably incredibly dirty. or you have located in a place that exceeds the temperature rating of the drive, in this case 40C. Did you put it in a box with no thought of ventilation?

Cooling was ok. Found that drive had faulty control board by swapping board from other unit. Now have to get faulty board repaired as machine from which I borrowed good board is due to go back on line.

Thanks for suggestions, I did go on line originally and found 2 different manuals, neither of them had a fault list.
