Current to Pressure Converter For Use With DM Water

05/11/2012 7:53 AM

We are working on a turbine with hydraulic governor using DM Water as the fluid. To convert it to electronic governing system, we are looking for a I-H converter suitable for DM water apllication

Inlet signal 4-20 mA

Supply pressure - 14 bar

Outlet pressure 0-10 bar linear

Flow rate aound 40 lpm

Please advise if these are available and if so, the contact dtails of the supplier

Please clarify your system description. When you say hydraulic, are you referring to water or hydraulic oil - 14 bar would be a low hydraulic system pressure. Is the 40 lpm the DM water flow or the hydraulic fluid flow? If hydraulic fluid, this must be a large governor.

Are you looking for a pilot-type valve for a closed-end hydraulic loop? If so, I know they are made, I had one delivered on a homogenizer but it was a 2000 psi system and I doubt it would flow 40 lpm at 10 bar. Don't remember the manufacturer, check the hydraulic controls makers.

Judging by the OP's e-mail address, I'd say he's just having some fun with us.

Yeah, based on his previous post, too. I've started checking 'references' before I bother replying most of the time, but this one slipped by.
