Bolt Length / Max Projection Required as Per Flange Class

Plz expline in details, I am not understand.

ok , in brief i want to know what is the max. projection in both flanges of classes 150 and 300 , i know it differs as the thickness of the flange it self differs for course from one class to another , the question here regarding the limitations , how many mm you leave as protrusion for the bolt out of the flange in the mentioned flange classes ,

three treads showing is the norm. if you need to install longer bolts "for what reason is beyond me". the bolt shank must be less than the total width of the connection minus torqued bolt stretch. clearance should be considered.

There is no standard with regards to the maximum length. The primary issues which one must consider include accessibility, maintainability and cost. Longer fasteners are more expensive, may impede placement of tools and are susceptible to mechanical damage and corrosion. The important thing is full engagement of the nut onto the stud/bolt.

In critical applications it is not unusual to see the equivalent of at least one fastener diameter extending beyond the nut. This configuration is necessary when bolt tensioning rather than bolt torquing is the tightening method.
