Here's waht a quick search found:

How to Fix Error 54 Error 36 Repair Tool

You'll need to find a copy of the troubleshooting guide, or pay them to come fix it.

You'll not buy German equipment in future if you can't afford to repair it! Demag is excellent equipment but very highly engineered to the point of being over engineered.

BTW any failure that results in damage or injury "we couldn't afford to repair it" will not help in court.

Can you take picture of the hand control with the error codes in the display? Please send pictures of hand pendant with error codes and of hoist motor and brakes.

Are you sure the code starta with "5" or is it lightning bolt?

Have you checked all three phases power are hot to the lifting motor - not just the phases are hot to the traveler beam bus bar?

When you operate the lift rnotor by "pressing half button' do you hear brakes disengage? When you release "half button" do you hear brakes re-engage? Have you verified that the brakes are disengaged, or is the motor fighting the brakes, and that's why the load is moving so slow?

No Proper Brakes - NO LIFTING.

Yes, Demag will charge a lot of money to send a technician. Meanwhile, they should be happy to send you information and service manuals - voltages to check, service manuals.

Which is easier for you to afford - Demag Service Center or Funeral Service Center?
