Latest Developments in Quality?

06/11/2012 6:55 PM

Hello Friends,

Back to Cr4 after a long time! I am to present a term paper for quality management and business excellence course. I am bored of run-of-the-mill papers on broad topics like TQM, SPC and other quality concepts. Relevant as they are, I would like to work on something new. Please let me know if you guys have any suggestions.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

The internet is a good source.

You should master this first: How to Search the Web and Find What you Want

Then you will find helpful hints such as this:

Tips for writing a good quality Management Research Paper ...

"Quality Management and Business Excellence" sounds like a MBA wanna-be course.

Kinda like 6 sigma and labor unions. Sometimes they are appropriate, mostly they're not.

TPM is an equipment-maintenance program for business theory that closely resembles the TQM program and lean manufacturing.
Total Quality Management (TQM) is a business management strategy aimed at embedding awareness of quality in all organizational processes.
Six sigma is a methodology/tool help to achieve the TQM. And SPC is one of the six sigma tool which is used to monitor the process abnormality..

Try Six Sigma Black Belt applications. They are pretty defined, more-so than the old TQM method.
