Ultrasonic Flow Transmitter Installation

06/18/2012 7:34 AM

I am installing ultrasonic FT of GE sensing Make. Model No.-GF868 dual channel. I would like to know what is the difference in 90 bias and 180 bias, what would be the orientation of probes in both case. Will it make differnece if we install bias 90 10" spacing probe instead of bias 90 15" spacing probes or vice versa?

For best results you need 20 pipe diameters of straight, undisturbed flow upstream and 10 pipe diameters of straight, undisturbed flow downstream.

Reducing this increases the amount of turbulance which can reduce the accuracy of the instrument's readings.
