Need Alternate Relay

06/18/2012 1:18 PM

We are having ABB make 220 Volts DC Aux. relay (Type :PQ8CHQ, 4NO+3NC) in our 6.6 Kv SF6 breaker with the following general specification

Basic Aux relay with mechanical latching and high speed operation with 7 free contacts and 1 late opening NC contact for field weakening resistor with operation indicator.

Now the company has declared the above type relay as obsolete. But we need spare relays for our failure replacements.

Can anybody suggests any alternate relays equivalent to the above relays? Please Help me...

Check with a local panel build shop in your area.

If they don't have a part sitting on a back shelf somewhere, they can usually come up with an approved retro-fit.

I have had great success locating obsolete panel and switch parts through local panel builders.

Good Luck
