Partnering with our client, we are currently searching
for a Design/Mechanical/Piping Engineer.
Responsibilities:
Provide Mechanical Engineering
expertise during detailed engineering, fabrication and hook-up &
commissioning phases of the Project.
- Provide technical support for all fixed equipment
related issues pertaining to the design, procurement, and construction of the
new Central Processing Complex (CPC) as well as for the engineering required for
WellHead Platform activities.
- Such technical support to be inclusive of code and
specification selection, equipment sizing, corrosion analyses, material
selection, stress analyses, and vessel calculations.
- Provide technical support for all rotating equipment
related issues pertaining to the design, procurement, and construction of the
new Central Processing Complex (CPC).
- Interface with other departments and disciplines to
ensure piping design meets with their needs and requirements.
- Interface with contractors to ensure design
specifications are met.
- Check and contribute to engineering/construction
man-hour estimates, schedules and progress reports.
- Develop and/or amend piping scope of works, scope of
services and any other documentation as required to fulfill project
requirements.
- Make technical decisions, ensuring coordination,
quality and conformance with Project contract requirements.
- Participate in project quality assurance reviews
(HAZID, HAZOP, etc.) and implement approved corrective action to issues raised.
- Monitors QC/QA activities.
- Travels to construction sites, shop sites, contractor
sites or vendors works to provide technical input as and when required.
- Makes records of visits with clear and concise
reporting.
Essentials:
- Eligible to work for any employer in the United States
without visa sponsorship.
- Please upload a copy of all required certifications and
training.
- BS preferred or equivalent experience BSc (UK).
- 12 or more years experience in oil and gas industry.
- Must have expertise in all aspects of mechanical design
for offshore production platforms from conceptual design, through detailed
design, fabrication, installation, commissioning and start up.
- Past experience with large modular platform structures
is desired.
- Familiarity with processes for executing Capital
Projects and Production Operations is a plus.
- Understanding of interface management, work orders,
risk management, change control, and improvement processes.
- Willing to travel internationally.
- Must be prepared to spend extended durations at the
various contract sites.
- Experience in construction site regarding operations,
manpower and equipment resources management.
- Must speak English fluently.
