Can Savalgnini L1Xe Laser Cutting Machine Cut Titanium

Hi guys,

I need to Know that wether Savalgnini L1Xe (laser cutting machine) can cut Titanium with thickness 0.6mm and thickness 1.5mm

Is kind urgent now, appreciated you guy help as soon as possible

Yes it can be done but

titanium burns when subjected to the laser's heat. See this article:

By the way, you need a class "D" fire extinguisher to put out Titanium fires. Fires can also start during regular machining.

From Wiki:

Sodium Chloride (Super-D, Met-L-X or METAL.FIRE.XTNGSHR) contains sodium chloride salt and thermoplastic additive. Plastic melts to form an oxygen-excluding crust over the metal, and the salt dissipates heat. Useful on most alkali metals including sodium and potassium, and other metals including magnesium, titanium, aluminum, and zirconium
