AVR Atjtagice MK2 Problem

Hello people, I am trying to debug a program into a microcontroller using AVR jtag adapter...

When I run the program I get the results but when I disconnect the connector the program doesn't work. Why does that happen, is the program not saved in the microcontroller, how can I know that? Or is that a microcontroller problem should I have to change? Help me guys.

Micro controller is AVR ATXMEGA128A1 module,

Program written in AVR STUDIO 6

Connector is JTAG

Help me guys.
