Flavor/process of a Patent Infringement Trial in Chem Engineering

07/07/2012 4:32 PM

I was wondering where a chemical engineer or a CE student might go to find a description of a patent infringement case relating to a chemical process. It could be more than just the technical side, include any comments about the court procedure and strategy. A friend just sat through a four week trial relating to shear-thinning (non-newtonian liquids, thixotropic) and textile coating and wants to publish an article about it but has no idea what publication might be suitable or interested. He's never seen any article about "in the courtroom" at a patent infringement trial and wants to find a place for what he writes. And suggestions regarding a publication that might be interested ?

Not sure a 4 week trial on shear thinning would generate much interest.

Especially if the subject is infringement of intellictual property rights.

Try the American Chemical Society.

Ask the attorney who represented your buddy that went through the trial........
