My barber chair slowly falls and if someone is sitting in it won't even rise..Any help?

I believe that there is a hydraulic pump, and a piston-cylinder that raise and lower the chair. The pump also has a release valve in it also. Is the reservoir full? If not, bring the level up. What fluid to use is not in my information library. You will have to wait for a few of the past owners of these chairs to chime in with more information. Any of the components that leaks could cause the problem you have.
