	Gasoline costing $3 a gallon or more arrived at gas stations across metropolitan Detroit on Tuesday. The Los Angeles Times reports that ripples from Hurricane Katrina could also deliver $3 gas by Labor Day weekend to California and across the nation. If you need to fill 'er up, get to a gas station soon.

	I'm just waiting for the price increase on everything that needs to be transported by truck. If gas doubles in price in less than a year I don't think that retailers will be able to eat that cost. 	Not sure how much this will help, but the Energy Department will release oil from the Strategic Petroleum Oil Reserve.

	It's also time for Congress to repeal some of the gasoline taxes that were passed back in the day when politicians cared about balanced budgets.
