PhD in Power Sector

You say "i would like to do it in power and energy sector"

You can certainly do better in power and energy sector!

For a start, where are you located, what qualifications do you have so far and what are you interested in.

I am from india

i have my under graduation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE)

I have my Post graduation in Control Systems

I have interest in (power systems,renewable energy, solar power plants, transformers, induction machines,optimization techiniques,control...)

now i am working as a software engineer in some IT company in india which is nowhere related to my passion or related to skill set which i have earned for the past 6 years

so wanna do my phd i don't know which area to choose i mean in power system itself lots of research going on in different areas.

How about taking, 1. Solar power plants 2. Renewable energy, as a subject for your PHD?
