Fluke MegaOhm Meter

10/07/2012 4:14 PM

Hello, my isolation meter died! I was testing a 50 Hp motor with a winding isolation fault.

The capacitive charge did kill the instrument. (Fluke quality ? )

Can someone guide me to an internet page with the electric circuit ? (Fluke after sale service quality?)

It is a Fluke MegaOhmMeter 1520

Most regards

You will probably be better off buying a new one.

About 30 - 40 years ago Fluke was the industry standard but in the last 20 years and less they have been coasting on their name and less and less on their quality.

Pretty much what most manufactures do. Give you a really good piece of equipment and then go down from there.

There are many European repair facilities for Fluke. Repairing it yourself if you are required to give readings for testing and inspection would invalidate any calibration certification.
