What is the role of a rupture disc in a current transformer(ct) (for ex: 200/1 A ct) which is arranged at the bottom of the ct.

The same purpose that any rupture disc serves, to relieve internal pressure if for any reason it builds up to levels that would burst the main container, i.e., severe overcurrents, coil failure, etc.
