MFI Testing

11/28/2012 4:15 AM

Hi All,

I have one concern here, regarding MFI Test, whether All Plastic Material (Resin & Molded Part) are able to perform MFI Test? If yes, why some material didnt have MFI Specification? If no, what kind of material didnt required or cant perform MFI test? What characteristic of material that cause of this material not able to perform MFI Test?

All thermoplastic materials have a melt flow index.

Molded parts would have to be re-ground and re-tested for MFI.

I don't think you really understand the "MFI".

Maybe you should Google it and arrive at a basic understanding of the test, and molding in general.
