This website relates to an engineering advice page from India, and is written in somewhat Indian English. There are also some statements with which one may disagree:

"Earthing means connecting the dead part (it means the part which does not carries current under normal condition) to the earth for example electrical equipment's frames, enclosures, supports etc."

"Grounding means connecting the live part (it means the part which carries current under normal condition) to the earth for example neutral of power transformer."

Yah...I use "grounding" all of the time, but my main keeps tripping. I wonder why?

But it keeps me from getting electrocuted...what with no power and all.

Grounding is connecting of equipment to the Earth via a grounding electrode.

This consists only of the actual rod/plate/pipe/conductor in the ground/concrete and the conductor attached to it.

Any other conductors which attach to this "ground" are considered bonded to ground, but never grounded themselves.

Earthing is not a common term I am familiar with. I find it used most often by people not familiar with the descriptions of grounding and bonding.

But I am a Journeyman Electrician/Instrument Technician in Canada, your country may have a different description of these terms.
