After reading several TDS's for wax based curing compounds, I can find no maximum application temperature just a minimum (4 C). Do you have the manufacturer and description of the particular compound you are considering? If you are concerned about wax application, you can use resin based compounds.

A call to the manufacturer may be the way to get your answer.

After giving your question some more thought, I used a wax base compound in the past, the wax was already in a liquid state, can't melt. There were warnings about letting it get to cold (40 F, 4 C) because wax would solidify.
