Why to use low hydrogen electrodes.? Why baking of it is necessary?

One possible usage that I can think of is the arc-welding, in which the hydrogen is released from moisture.

They're baked to remove moisture to prevent hydrogen induced cracking.

Low Hydrogen electrodes are frequently used for critical component fabrication. The coating is heavily filled with de-oxidisers to deposit weld metal with less oxygen content. The higher the basicity index of the electrode coating the higher will be the toughness of the weld metal. However, this coating has a tendency to absorb moisture from atmosphere. During welding of ferritic steels, the entrapped hydrogen in the coating may be released to weld metal and cause HIC (Hydrogen Induced Cracking). To avoid HIC problem, Low Hydrogen electrodes shall be baked before use to remove all moisture content from the basic coating. The baking temperature and time shall be as per manufacturer recommendation. During welding, low hydrogen electrodes should be kept in quivering oven at 80 Degree C temperature.
