Dear friends,

we have some problems in our suspension system.

the hanger bkt. plate where the leaf spring comes in contact getting wear out very soon as a result of rubbing between the plate & the plate(where the load is coming).

do i need to change the plate material(anything harder than the leaf spring material)?

plz. help me to find out a soln.

"hanger bkt. plate where the leaf spring comes in contact getting wear out very soon as a result of rubbing between the plate & the plate(where the load is coming)."

Can you be more specific as to the end application -- are you working with a support similar to a vehicle suspension?

It would appear as though your issue is not so much the hardness of the bearing plate against the leaf spring but rather an issue of eliminating the amount of movement between the two surfaces involved.

You might consider a work hardening steel with a significant manganese content for the plate. Not easy to find in wrought material but readily cast.

There is anti wear plate weld it where spring makes contact. I'd all check the shocks to make sure there ok or meet the application.
