Air Temperature After Cooling Coil

03/01/2013 8:51 AM

what is the exact air temperature after cooling coil in AHU if inlet 7+/-2, and outlet temperature is 12+/-2 in cooling coil, is there any calculation if inlet temperature changes like 6,8,7,9 based on 7+/-2 and out let temperature varies with heat inside in room like 10,11,12,13,14 based on 12+/-2

if the hot water coil also installed in AHU what is the air temperature if inlet is 50+/-10 and outlet temperature comes based on air temperature after cooling coil

Is this homework?

And why "exact" when you give tolerances on everything else?

What are the mass flow rates of the air through the coil?

As well the mass flow rate of the water. And what are the coil manufactures design data for the coil.

I don't think your question has enough information to solve the heat transfer equations.

Both of your questions demonstrate a complete lack of knowledge of HVAC.

If you can't offer a coherent question, it's hard to do your work for you.

I'm holding back on a rhetorical response but it would be so easy. you aren't providing enough data for an "exact" answer. or a ballpark answer for that matter. your question suggests a cooling coil well as a heating or re-heat coil. try some water temps on both for starters. you might want to add in a few CFM numbers and any varying throttling of airflow amounts

Are you want to know the supply air temperature? I think you should provide the air temperature before the coil.

Only have water inlet and outlet temperature is not enought. you should know the number row of coil, surface area....etc.
