Unless you plan to steal these lights, ask the companies that will be bidding to get the sales contract to do the calculations.

They do this every day.

You, armed with information you have never seen before and that you got from total strangers, will likely butcher the calculations anyway. Especially since you are in a panic for the information.

There are thousands of sites like this: How To Calculate Lux that you can use, if you insist.

Were I you, I'd be honest and tell them you don't have a clue about lighting and ask the potential suppliers to educate you.

Go to the site in the above post and when you are familiar to the terms, consider that the light intensity diminishes at a rate of the inverse of the square distance from the lamps, that is:

If you have a 1600 lumens lamp at a distance of 1 yard, its intensity will be 1/16 at a distance of 4 yards, or 100 lumens.

This is very important, as you can see, a little change in distance produces a great change in intensity.

Regards

High mast lighting systems - Abacus Lighting

Note to Admin::: Where's the "Search IHS Global Spec" box here?

LynDoor™Industries, Holdings and Acquisitions Division is considering a hostile takeover of IHS and we look at these deficiencies critically.

This is an airport. There will be statutory levels you need to achieve. Whether your lights point at concrete or black tar surface wll make a huge difference. There will likely be a height restrictiion. This will affect the size of the lamps you intend to use.

Go to the manufacturer or a real consultant.

Lkely these will be discharge lights. You might want to consider how you are going to switch them on cos the inrush current can be horrid.
