dc connector advice

Greetings all,

I'm currently looking for a quick disconnect connector (preferrably pins), that can be a push-pull connection (no threads). Similar to the motion on a pc power supply, or a cigarette connection. Somthing that is Fast to disconnect, but is hermetically sealed.

Does anyone have a company off-hand they would recommend, or experience with quick disconnects? I'm currently all over GS looking, and cant find anything that strikes me. I'm trying to find somthen off the shelf rather than have it custom.

Working electrical specs: 10A peak, 1.59A nominal, 35 W, 24VDC supply.

TIA for any search tips, or company suggestions.

we also use LEMO..............high costs, and terrible lead times.....we only need small quantities......i wish there was an American source :(

Well that doesn't sound very inviting, any other manufacturer's you would recommend?

I've also found ODU USA, as another supplier.

Look with RS Components or Farnells. Have a wide range from a lot of manufacturers

Mapline <http://www.mapline.co.uk> if you are in UK. They are much cheaper than above 2.

Just for details:

Socket ? Chassis Mtd/ Free

Need: Bulk or a few pieces?

For OEM manufacture or occasional

Check out powerwerx.com.

The website loads pretty slowly but it's something. The connectors you would like are anderson powerpole.

Did you look for electricals in automobiles they too use such connectors with specs you mentioned above , i too use them in shanty , watery , industrial areas when required were sealing is utmost priority when connected and they are available readily in auto spares market with little expensive or you can search through what other members have supplied
