With cars I prefer the front and rear track to be the same for easier parking against curbs. With tractors I prefer the internal measurements to be the same for rowcrop work. With trucks I prefer the outside dimensions to be the same for traveling around corners. Narrow front track and high loads with speed tend to create less stability around corners.

That's not what Nissan think.

I'd like to see how they take a narrow turn after realising they entered way too fast.

When you are taking a very tight turn very fast, it is the outside front wheel that takes almost all the load. So why should the track make any difference at all? For that matter, if the CofG of the car is very far behind the front wheel(s), which is usually the case with LeMans racers, and most racing cars, then does it really matter so much where the loaded front wheel actually is, or even if there is one front wheel rather than two?

Impossible to answer.

Too many variables.

Too many things more important that track.

First, define specifically what you mean by ''better''...

It makes the vehicle more comfortable to drive. Motorbikes have different sizes and widths of tyres to help them tip in on a corner.

And how do you plan to quantify ''more comfortable'' ?...

Sorry for answering with my preferences ,the answer to the question is the wider front wheelbase handles marginally better.

It's all about weight distribution and cornering, check out some car racing forums.
