Plazma cutting machine

06/03/2007 2:40 AM

We have a plazma cutting machine for slicing the spiral pipe. The electric connections and all the circuits are completed, but the cooling system for the torch, providing much problem. we have changed many pumps increasing the power of motor. Then too we can't solve the problem. The problem the pressure from the pump releases the relief valve (more pressure, but it is in design pressure, 5lpm, 200psi). Though we maintain flow, we can't maintain the pressure (increases). So please help me to solve this.

Well you are in luck! I have not read the other's input so I just tell you what is more than likely happening: Here goes. 1. The flow rating of the pump can be very quickly be deminished by your reduction of piping off the pump. 2. That is not mostlikely the problem! Install two pressure gauges in to what I bet is a closed loop cooling circuit. You have make sure that there is a P- across your equipment. I bet you dollars to doughnuts, ( God knows were that came from ), you have pressure but no flow! Quick check,...Let the return water go to open drain. Trust me that is the prob.
