Current and Voltage Divider

The question is too vague and presumably you mean independant?
In electronics things are rarely completely independant. They are normally referenced to ground, some common voltage or eachother.
If two voltage sources are completely separate then they can be connected by joining just two termials with impunity.

E.G. A 9v battery and 6v battery could be joined with the + of the 6v joined to the - of the 9v That join could be tied to a notional 0v rail and you'd then have a -6 0 +9 supply.
