What are the possibility's to parallel the neutral grounded ( Star point grounded Distribution transformer ) transformers

1 ) Is possibilities two parallel more than one neutral grounded transformer in a BUS

It is NOT recommended that you combine the neutral ground on distribution transformers in a bus. You have to keep in mind why utilities ground their neutrals every 1/4 mile, at all distribution transformers and service equipment: It is to create a parallel path for neutral current in the event the neutral conductor opens.

(I know at this point a lot of 600V system people will pounce and say the earth posses too high an impedance to be utilized as a current path, and for 600V systems they are correct. But for high voltage systems the ground has sufficiently low impedance to act as a return path.)

If you combine the neutral ground in a bus you are effectively removing the one possible path in the event of an equipment failure.

Hope this address your questions. The NESC (National Electrical Safety Code) and the IEEE Green Book are good references for utility system grounding.

Just as an aside. Where did you source your 7805 ICs from? Was it from the standard component market or from the genuine source?

I can swear from experience of 30 years that 90 % of the stuff that is sold in the Lamington Road market in Mumbai is spurious, remarked rejects and substandard. Gwalior would be no better.

Hi pmshah,

What is the connection?

"Just as an aside. Where did you source your 7805 ICs from? Was it from the standard component market or from the genuine source?" ?????????????????????

What is the relation between transformer paralleling and 7805IC ? Why are u so much prejudiced about Mumbai Market? This is an international forum let us sort out our problems in India itself .My experience is not that bad.I was getting good quality stuff from there.Only thing is that you should buy from genuine shops.Gray market is always unreliable anywhere.

I guess pmshah got mixed up with the answers. His reply was for some other thread....it happens.....never mind Abraham... God give me the knowledge....but, please don't give the moaning, and arrogance which you normally slip into me alongwith it..
