Heat Exchanger Tube Trimming

11/25/2013 11:32 PM

hello,

my activity is to give a proposal for trimming the tubes in the heat exchanger. And my proposal is that "i will cut the tube ends after aligning it and i will do facing in it"

It will be ok or not?

Sounds like you want to weld it from the inside!

If this sounds like a good proposal to you make it sound and sound it of!

Generally, you can cut extended length of your tube from tube sheet hole. After that you can remove the burr by facing or any other kind of machining operation to make the cut surface even.

What is the material spec. of tube??
