Locked Out

11/29/2013 11:45 AM

I downloaded FireFox yesterday.

Now, today, I'm locked out when trying to use FF to log in.

When I try to register, or sign in, nothing happens and I'm not able to see my subscribed discussions.

Same thing happens when I try to log in on my phart smone.

Is it just me?

Lyn: did you install any add-ons that may be blocking the cookies or java scripts from running? e.g. cookie monster, noscript

I'm a user of firefox, and version 12 (win2000) and 25 (winXP) work without issue. I block all google scripts, and only have issues on sites tied directly into google (e.g. youtube).

You will like this browser. However google stole the code from this for chrome. For a while when you downloaded firefox (version 2.x era), you got a google tool bar.

Take a look at the add-ons (tools/add-on pull down menu). There are many good things to help in your browsing. If your looking for a task list calendar tool, try reminderfox. It reminds me of wife's birthday, wedding anniversary, and other important dates, with popup and chiming if wanted. You can name custom lists, and if you want to have your every moment scheduled, it can do that, all while your browsing away. I guess that's a testimonial, I should donate money to it's designers, which is how these add-ons get funded.

lyn, try the add-on "noscript." it lets you enable exactly what you want and no more hidden stuff running script u dont know about. when i go to a typical website, for ex., cr4.globalspec.com, I enable that site, and not the 6 others trying to run scripts.
