These could all be used to heat the ROCKS.

What application? Structural or sealing materials?

Plasma! I'm not talking about the clear component of blood. High heat is a requirement for plasma.

Define "high temperature"?

Minus 100 deg C is considered high temperature when working with cryogenic systems, 100,000,000 deg C is considered high temperature when working with fusion plasma containment systems.
