You have to wonder... how many times does one have to say this...

Check your locally adopted code!

In my jurisdiction, a minimum of 1 meter of clearence is required around all electrical equipment to allow for maintenance. I expect the code in effect where you are installing this, if it is worth anything, will have similar requirements.

In my opinion, the motor location is dictated by the driven object [or installation] position. The motor specification has to include the position of the terminal box-in the opposite side of a wall and you have to consider the working space in front of the box according to the local code-NESC, BS, NF, DIN/VDE or else. For instance, horizontal clearance from the terminal live parts-when the box door is open for maintenance , even if the supply breaker is open but before checking the voltage missing and short-circuiting and grounding the living parts-has to be 1.02 m for 7.2 kV [NESC Rule 124 Table 124-1].

In many installations I have been involved with, the minimum clearance to a concrete structure is zero, if you are looking at the concrete it is mounted to...

There probably is a standard for your location and the motor you are using to move something.

Now look carefully at the answer I just provided. There are three attributes I identified. I am not sure if these are the only attributes needed to solve your problem but you do not provide us even the details about these three attributes.

Go fish.
