SCADA vs SPECVIEW

01/21/2014 8:01 AM

we are still on planning stage and implementation of SCADA will cost high that is why we want to do it phase by phase...i have already encountered this SPECVIEW software but unfortunately i don't have any means of geeting in-touch with a supplier/technicians here in our region..that is why should we consider going into SCADA..

You got in touch with us.

Get in touch with them the same way.

Watlow | SpecView HMI Software, Human Machine Interface for ...

You do understand that SCADA is not a brand name of any equipment, but rather the name of a control and data acquisition technique, right?

I presume that Watlow will only provide support for Specview licenses that Watlow sells.

Specview's 'factory' support is at this site:

http://www.specview.com/html/contact_us.html

It used to (10 years ago) take a day or two to get a response.

Specview used a USB dongle for licensing, and I can't recall details about unlicensed trial run periods, but most of these HMI packages do something along those lines, where it runs for some limited period of time (like an hour) after which it has to be restarted.

Your original post raises a few questions: * what is your region? * I am not sure what your application is, but any SCADA vendor needs to be far more accessible than you indicTe above ... What happens when your process is down for days while you wait for your SCADA vendor to show up?

6 to 8 hr drive from the nearest main cities.. our region still considered a rural area here in the Philippines.
