AEG ME07 Air Circuit Breaker

02/11/2014 6:07 PM

I am trying to locate a test set for testing the trip unit on AEG ME07 air circuit breakers. Have contacted AEG but apparently some of the components used to manufacture it are no longer available. We have a switch maintenance company who can carry out the maintenance but are unable to test due to lack of test equipment for this breaker and are also struggling to find one.

If any one knows the whereabouts of one it would be most helpful.

Test set required is type P107 rms for electronic trip unit type bse3/4-X rms part no759999

There is a great test lab that rebuilds all kinds of extinct switches and breakers in Pittsburgh, PA. The parent company is Eaton. If the parts are no longer available, they can make them from scratch. Sorry I can't be more specific but a good search engine should get you to them.

You should contract with a test firm that has the proper equipment. If they do not have the equipment, they probably do not have the proper knowledge and skill set either either. Try some of the better field engineering groups llike GE, circle W, and others similiar and I bet you can get someone who knows what they are doing and has the equipment. You get what you pay for.

Each European GE service team has testing equipment for ME 07 breakers. You can contact GE to do the tests i think . I think new test sets are not longer available. Don't now where you from but best chance to find one is to look in GE Germany Neumunster.
